Knowledge Base

I consider IDE 621 the “big daddy” of the curriculum, along with IDE 631/632, the “big mama” of the program. To be an effective instructional designer, one must first take into consideration how humans learn. IDE 621 covers a number of learning theories and the history of the evolution of thought in this area.

The 621 Knowledge Base demonstrates my comprehension of these learning theories and how they apply to instructional design. The initial learning scenario for all objects in the knowledge base involved one of my favorite pastimes, cold-process soapmaking.

In addition to visiting the link above to review the full knowledge base, including the soapmaking learning scenario, checklists, and reflections, click any of the images below to display the associated infographic I developed for the course. Infographics open in a separate tab.
